Since 1968, INSTAND e.V. arranges interlaboratory comparisons in the framework of the external quality assurance in the field of hematology, and since 1970 in all areas of laboratory diagnostics.
The goal of INSTAND e.V. is the improvement of the medical care of patients through improved diagnostics, therapy supervision, aftercare and rehabilitation in medical science, as well as the early detection of diseases through the improvement of analyses and their evaluation.
Since January, 1994, INSTAND e.V. is known as WHO - Collaborating Centre for Quality Assurance and Standardization in Laboratory Medicine.
